Still 2nd In Points, 1 Race Remains

Full Race Video
Available Well with just 2 races left on the 2007 season schedule, Hale Racing took to the track with the 2nd place position in the overall point standings. Their lead over the 3rd place competitor, Mark Ith, was minimal; so the pressure was on to compete well and try to finish better than the 84 car of Ith. Track times were a little off compared to recent events, but the competition was as normal as could be: close, close, and close! With qualifying being more important than ever with the season winding down, Michael came through big. Michael put up the 3rd place qualifying position with a lap time of 15.922. Less than 1 tenth separated 1st and 3rd place. With every point being critical, even the heat race was pretty important tonight. Michael lost a few points as he finished 4th in his heat race, but after his performance in the main event, the team gained those points back and were actually able to increase their points lead by just a bit. When I started thinking about how to write this article, I wasn't quite sure where to start... and then I wondered how many people read the article in comparison to how many just watch the race videos. Either way, I'll start the article by saying you're definitely going to want to watch the videos. Both the onboard and full race video (from the bleachers) are thrilling and well worth watching. The onboard footage is already available, and the full race video will be made available very soon. With such a demand for updates and video footage to be posted... I'm going to make this one short and sweet, and turn my attention to editing the video and getting it online as soon as possible. For anybody that missed the race, heck, for anybody that saw the race... we highly recommend you check out the footage. For those that were there, you know how good of a night it was for Hale Racing. Michael found heavy traffic early on during the main event, but after a caution flag came out and single-filed the race... Michael drove the car toward the front. With a little more time and/or a few more laps, Michael just might have been able to make his way all the way to the front. However, a 3rd place finish in the main event earned the team 1st place in overall points earned for the night, and that's always the goal each week. To go into detail on how Michael found his way to third in the night's feature race would take more time than the entire video itself. It's like comparing a book to the movie. The book has more detail, and is always longer, but who writes a book on a race? Especially when there's video footage. We all know that's what you're here to see. The onboard footage has approximately 40-45 laps of footage... just short of the full race. Hale Racing is working on a way to get the camera to record all 50 laps. We still believe battery failure is the cause of us not getting the entire race recorded. Full race video from the bleachers should be available either Thursday night, or early Friday as it takes a little more time to convert for the internet. Please stay tuned to HaleRacing.com as video footage will be available within the next few days. As we always do, Hale Racing would like to close out this article by giving a huge thanks to all our 2007 season sponsors. This has been the most successful season of racing for this team in quite a few years. Although it's possible the team may not finish 2nd overall, it's very likely Hale Racing will finish in the top 5 yet again this year. Not only has the team had success on the pavement, but Hale Racing has also had positives occur on the dirt track this year. Thanks again to all of our sponsors for making this season not only a very successful one... but a fun one as well. We'd also like to give a big thank you to the fans as well. When the night closes, and fans circle the trailer to give the team a pat on the back... it really makes even the long nights worth while. We hope you all know how much you are appreciated. Thanks again! We hope you'll stop by again soon to check out all the video footage. Thank you for visiting HaleRacing.com... we'll see ya soon. Short article written by Brad Edwards
