Short Lived Saturday Night, Team Back To Work

Well it's been a while since an update has taken place here at HaleRacing.com.  I can honestly take the blame for that one.  If you were present at the last event, you might know why.  Saturday night, the 7th of May, proved to be a short lived one for Hale Racing.  An unfortunate event was unavoidable and after a single lap of racing, the night was pretty much in the books.

The weather wasn't the most admirable thing during this cold Saturday, but somehow someway, the races went on.  After a 2 hour rain-delay just after qualifying, all of the heat races were cancelled and each class had to jump straight into their main events.  "We were hoping it'd just keep raining, and have the entire event called off," said driver, Michael Hale.  Unfortunately the rain stopped, and the event went on.  Michael had a decent qualifying time, and placed himself in the 4th position to open up the night.  As the point system works, Michael started near the back of the pack based upon his qualifying position, but unfortunately this didn't prove to be a good thing on this Saturday night.  One lap into the event, two cars got together near the front and caused what you might call, "The Big One."  Hale Racing wasn't the only team affected by the accident as you can see from the image to the right. (click here to view video)  Unfortunately, it quickly put an end to the evening as the front end of the new Lefthander chassis was pretty much destroyed.  The short lived Saturday night resulted in the team falling in the points standings.  However, the team returns to the track for a night of two main events this Saturday night and a great opportunity to make up for some lost points.

The team has the car back in running order and back to looking the way it should... straight.  So don't forget to come out and cheer us on this weekend, May the 21st.  Your support is greatly appreciated and even on the cold, unfortunate Saturday night, fans still came out and showed their faithfulness to the team.  Hale Racing thanks all of those who continue to come out week after week to help cheer us on.  And as usual, we can never thank our sponsors enough for their continued help in making this hobby possible.  Without you guys, without any of our supporters, Saturday nights wouldn't be what they are.  So thank you... again!  We'll see all of you this Saturday night.  Thanks for stopping by HaleRacing.com, and don't forget to stop by again for Saturday's complete recap, results and highlights.
