New Lefthander Has New Home

With the 2004 season in the books, Hale Racing had some pretty big plans for 2005.  The off-season plans have become a reality, and a brand new 2004 "Lefthander" Modified Chassis now rests peacefully inside the team's shop.  The plans originated when it seemed obvious that the "Lefthander" chassis were clearly performing a step above all other chassis in the modified class.  Although the team will run the new "Lefthander" for 2005, their old modified will still be prepped and ready to go if things happen to go bad.  "I have a lot of confidence in our old car, we ran good in it last year.  It'll make for a great back up car... just incase," said driver Michael Hale.  Right he is.  Michael's previous car was good for 2nd place last season, and with it prepped and ready to go, if anything happens to go bad, the team won't miss a beat.

The new modified is a great new design, and on high demand not only here in Utah, but nationwide for many competitive race teams.  Almost 10 Utah drivers have purchased their own throughout the off-season; which is only going to make for some awesome racing during the 2005 season.  Michael and team have been working on the new modified since it arrived at the shop just a few months ago.  It's already come a long way since it's first arrival to the shop, and should be set for a powder coating of the frame within the next week.

It's become clear that a large majority of Utah's most talented drivers are preparing for a full-time season in a modified for 2005.  The list of names include current champion, Gary Madsen, 3-time champion Lynn Hardy, hard charging Nick Parker, and veteran and top-5 finisher from last season, Mark Ith.  This is just to name a few, the list could go on for quite some time.  Let's not forget the newest member of this class either; he's not only well known here in Utah, but he's also one of the west coast's most talented drivers around.  Former USAC champion Todd Ellison will join the modified class this season, and although a rookie in the class, he has years of experience behind the wheel of a modified that included numerous championships at a former Utah short track, Suntana Raceway.  With the competition level at a new high, Hale Racing is making sure that every inch of this new "Lefthander" chassis is absolutely perfect.  No mistakes will be made.  Hale Racing plans to make a hard charge for the championship this season, and the last thing they want is a costly on-track mishap occurring because of a mistake made in the race shop.

If you want to see some exciting action this season, then you don't want to miss a single race throughout 2005.  I promise you every race this year is going to be a wild one.  Talent mixed with emotions and the urge for a championship is only going to equal some awesome on track racing.  We hope to see all of our fans at the season opener on April 30th.

Hale Racing would like to give a HUGE thanks to all of our sponsors and fans that stuck with us through the 2004 season.  It proved to be a very successful one, and we hope 2005 is just as successful... and then some.  Without the help of our sponsors and the support of our fans, we would have never been able to compete as well as we did.  There is no way for us to explain how much all of you mean to us, and how much we greatly appreciate all that you do to help make us one of Utah's most competitive race teams.  Don't forget, as mentioned above, the season starts on April 30th.  We'll see you there!!
