Test & Tune Begins as the
2004 Season Approaches
Story by Brad Edwards

Last Saturday was the kick-off to preparation time for Hale Racing.  This upcoming Saturday will be the end of that preparation time.  That's right, April 24th is the opening night of the chase for the championship for the 2004 Modified season.  Michael Hale and team ran many laps last weekend, and plan to run just as many this coming weekend.  "We did well Saturday, but we still have some work to do.  I think that's okay though, because we're prepared for what's ahead of us this year," said Michael after the test session last weekend.  It's no joke when the team that comes best-prepared this year has the best shot at taking home the championship come September.  With many new faces in the modified class, the competition level could be higher than ever before.  Let's not forget Rocky Mountain Raceway's rule change that forced all "Left-Hander" chassis owners to shorten their front wheel base... this will tighten up the field and help many non "Left Hander" owners.  There is no question that the upcoming season will be a wild one for Hale Racing.  This could very well be our last year as a Modified team.  Will it be our best?  Only time will tell.

The 2004 season will be upon us before we know it, and Hale Racing would like to thank all those who have stuck by us through the many years of racing.  We'd also like to thank all those fans who have come out week after week, month after month, year after year to support us and cheer us on to victory.  If this season proves to be a success, there's no doubt that it will be in large part to all of our sponsors, and fans... it's because of you guys that we continue to race, and it's because of you guys we continue to enjoy it.

Don't forget that this Saturday, April 17th, Hale Racing will be back on the track at RMR for the second session of Test & Tune practice.  It costs just 5 bucks to watch, and if you're interested in visiting us in the pits, just let the people at the ticket booth know.  It's of no extra cost, so come on down and say hi.  We'll see you Saturday!
